Balkon.

That's the sea at the end of the street :) my life sucks...I know

I've become a real fan of the infamous balcony, I like being up high and watching everybody down below. It feels like I'm not a part of the life that is happening down below, just an observer on the outside and I like that, everything down below is happening so fast, and I just watch it all like it's a TV show or something. These are the views from the Birben's balcony (their daughter Idil is currently living in Brighton, Michigan through the Rotary Exchange, we swapped places). The sea (deniz) is to the right, and the rest of their neighborhood in Kadiköy is to the left, it's a little difficult to see because my camera really sucks, but on the hills there are many, many houses packed together. The hills in the Western part of Turkey are so beautiful, but the geography of Istanbul reminds me a lot of San Francisco, my favorite city back in the US of A.
